WHAT IS TOUCHDOWN FOR DIABETES?
Over one million people in Michigan have diabetes, and 66,000 of those live in Southwest Michigan. Serious complications include stroke, blindness, kidney disease, heart disease, and loss of toes, feet or legs. Diabetes is the costliest disease in America, an estimated $10.5 billion dollar expenditure in Michigan annually. People with diabetes have average medical costs of $13,700 per year. Many insurance plans do not adequately cover these costs.

Although there is no cure, the disease can be effectively managed. The Ascension Borgess Diabetes & Endocrine Center serves hundreds of uninsured and underinsured patients each year. The Center provides free doctors, education, and labs and helps acquire medicines and supplies.

Cole Auto Group's annual September fundraiser, Touchdown for Diabetes, is the major source of funding for the uninsured/underinsured at Ascension Borgess Diabetes & Endocrine Center. Last year, $97,000 was donated.
PROCEEDS STAY LOCAL
For more than twenty (20) years, Cole Auto Group has raised funds to tackle diabetes, and for ten years the proceeds have STAYED LOCAL.
 
Cole Community Solutions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that raises funds to benefit the Ascension Borgess Diabetes & Endocrine Center, providing medical care and education to uninsured/underinsured citizens of the Greater Kalamazoo Area.

The annual tailgate fundraiser, Touchdown for Diabetes, equips the uninsured/underinsured at the Ascension Borgess clinic.
TOUCHDOWN FOR DIABETES ANNUAL EVENT
Each September, the Cole Buick GMC Cadillac dealership campus is transformed into a huge tailgate party. One ticket admits two people and includes:

 Door Prizes
 Cash Bar
 Entry in the raffle... a chance to win prizes totaling $20,000!
